Centralized Multi-Site Database
For remote offices that have local trunking, we recommend installing a “blueButler tap appliance” onsite to record the calls locally. This system will update the central blueButler SQL database record in real-time to maintain a centralized consolidated database for storage, access and administration. The SQL record on the central server will point to the call recording file on the local hard disk at the remote site until the file is transferred overnight to the central server. At that point the SQL record will be updated to point to the central file and the local file will be purged automatically from the tap appliance. If there is sufficient bandwidth between sites, the call recording files can be transferred in real-time but experience has shown that most customers prefer to transfer the files on off-hours.
